Learn Te Reo Māori with your team

E ngā mana, e ngā reo...

Tēnā koutou katoa.

Our te reo Māori courses are designed to boost your strength and confidence in te reo rangatira, our nation’s treasured indigenous language.

Whether it's learning everyday greetings, taking part in mihimihi, performing a waiata, or integrating te reo across your organisation, Great Scott is here to help you bridge that gap and make the move from kore to kōrero

Who we are

Solomona Davis is a teacher of te reo Māori and communications advisor at Great Scott. Solomona is of Sāmoan-Pākehā descent and is a passionate proponent of Pacific language and culture.

Born and raised in Ōtautahi, Solomona learnt te reo Māori to connect with his step-family and two sisters who whakapapa Māori, one of whom was raised speaking the language at Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Whānau Tahi.

Previously teaching out of Hagley Community College, Solomona has supported hundreds of students to expand their skills and confidence in te reo Māori, and is also a performer and songwriter with kapa haka Ngā Toi o Te Rangi.

Solomona is currently learning his own Pacific heritage language, Le Gagana Sāmoa, which he hopes to also teach in the future.
